Plans for the creation of Gaston's Tavern were initially announced at the 2009 D23 expo. The quick service restaurant is themed to look like a "comfy lodge in the French countryside, <ref> http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2012/09/a-sip-of-lefous-brew-from-gastons-tavern-in-new-fantasyland-at-magic-kingdom-park/ </ref> and it features numerous tributes to Gaston (from Beauty and the Beast) and his hunting ability.
