Restaurant History
The Liberty Tree Tavern opened with the rest of the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971. On the park's opening day map the Liberty Tree Tavern was listed as Liberty Square’s only restaurant [1]. The Liberty Tree Tavern remained essentially the same until the early 1990s when the restaurant began having character dining during dinner [2][3].
