Changes

Ellen's Energy Adventure replaced After the [[World Universe of Motion (attraction)]] on September 15, 1996. While Energy closed changes were made to the World of Motion took a more scientific approach attractions infrastructure in order to energy, Ellen's accommodate Ellen’s Energy Adventure had a much lighter toneCrisis. When Ellen's Energy Adventure was constructedIn the preshow theater, it used the same theaters that rotating Radok screens were used in the World of Motiontaken out and replaced by five standard screens. In factthe first theater, the attraction followed the same structure as it's predecessorgold curtains that rose were removed and replaced by stationary black curtains. Furthermore, the mirror walls which were used to reflect and it even reused multiply the Dinosaur Diorama images of the theater’s three rear screens (although giving the dinosaurs attraction's finale a seemingly endless scope) were repainted removed and an Ellen DeGeneres Audio Animatronic was added)replaced with sound insulation. More substantially, as part of Ellen's Energy Adventure stars Ellen DeGeneres, Billy Nye, and Alex Trebek and Jamie Lee Curtis and Crisis the attraction follows Ellen first theater got a completely new film as she competes on Jeopardy and learns about energywell as a new audio system. Since Disney could not use Like the actual Jeopardy setfirst theater, the second theater also got a construction crew built a replicanew film, although there are some minor differenceswhich used both new footage as well as recycled footage from the original attraction.

In the Primeval Diorama, the storm effects were toned down and a significant amount of vegetation was added. At this time, the dinosaurs’ skin color was also changed based on new scientific findings. As far as the dinosaurs themselves, the Ornithomimus who was once drowning in a mud pit was relocated and reprogrammed so that it now squirted guests with water. An Ellen DeGeneres Audio Animatronic also replaced a fish eating Pteranodon, and the Elasmosarus' programming was changed so that it now attacked Ellen as opposed to guests. Finally, the quaking rock effect and the wave pool effect were both deactivated. Although initially planned for a summer 1996 opening, delays in the filming and editing schedule for Ellen’s Energy Crisis in Burbank led Disney to realize that the attraction has would not seen many changesbe ready on time. With the World of Motion already closed for refurbishment during the busy peak season, it is important to note Disney decided that when they would temporarily reopen the original Universe of Energy attraction opened , albeit it was known as Ellen's with Ellen’s Energy Crisis’ infrastructure.  After operating throughout the summer, on September 1, 1996 the Universe of Energy attraction closed for good and on September 15th Ellen’s Energy Crisissoft opened for guests. DisneyOn October 1, not wanting to take a political stand quickly changed 1996 the attractions name was changed to Ellen's Ellen’s Energy Adventure, and the attraction had its official opening. The only other real change came to Since the attraction opened very few changes have occurred. In 2003, Exxon and Mobil merged, and thus ExxonMobil became the sponsor of Ellen’s Energy Adventure. This sponsorship was short-lived however, because in 2004the company chose not to renew. More recently, when ExxonMobile ended it's sponsorship of in 2009 the pavilionattractions ride and sound system was upgraded.
